This morning at 10:15 our family got to go to Honeywell Aerospace, where my husband works , to see a Chinook helicopter. The Chinook helicopter came in at 9:30 and was leaving at 1:00. Famlies of the employees were able to sign up for the tour. We stood outside for in the cold wind and rain for about 30 minutes waiting for our turn to go in the helicopter. This was once in a lifetime experience that we will never forget.
Here are some pictures.

Very exciting - It's BIG !!!
ReplyDeleteFun to see Jessi again.
Doing good with the blog.
I loved it when opportunities like this came about when we were schooling. Glad you were able to take advantage of it.
ReplyDeleteIt looks fun. No ride on it though, bummer.
ReplyDeleteThat is huge for a helicopter! I bet you don't remember the rain and cold after all the excitement!
ReplyDeleteMy husband was so excited to see the helicopter. He works for an avionics company as well. They make instrument panels. I bet your kids were excited for this adventure.
ReplyDeleteWOW! My kids would LOVE to see one of these. Looks like you all had a fun time.
ReplyDeleteVery cool! That thing is monstrous! One of the men in our church is a helicopter mechanic and works on the Lifeflight rescue helicopter near our hospital. He arranged for it to land by our church during VBS last year so all the kids got a tour. It is teeny tiny compared to the Chinook!
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun. I would love to see one of these and actually fly in one, too! Take care!
