PVBC Vacation Bible School - Day 2

The second day of VBS was just as full as the first. Here are some more pictures to give you an idea of what we did.

Learning the memory verse

Here one of the teen girls is reading a missionary story about a boy in Togo, West Africa and even had some little props to go along with the story. The cloth around her is like what the boys mother would have worn when he was a baby. What she is holding is a small broom that they used to sweep the floor. And in the next picture she is holding a small hoe.

Shoe Relay

Hoop Race. Where everyone has to run through the hoop and each person gets to hold the hoop while the rest of the team runs through. So how many times do they run though? Well, there were 12 people on each so that meant the team had to run through 12 times.

It was quite funny to see the adults and the older teens do it.

Next they played some kind of game that involved a can of stringy foam. I'm not exactly sure what type of game it was nor what the actual rules and I don't think anybody else did either. They just liked to run.

For this game you had to fish marbles out using only your toes. And as you can see I by the last two pictures I became fascinated with feet. Lol

Last game - Pillowcase relay except we didn't have pillowcases and had to use strong trash bags instead.

After all the games and before they went home, the kids enjoyed cookies that I made for them.

PVBC Vacation Bible School 2015 - Day 1

Today was the first day of VBS and everyone had a blast!
I was in charge of of craft time and you know what you get when you put a papercrafter in charge of crafts, at least one craft is going to have something to do with paper. Anyway the kids had fun making paper chains.

Here they are on the scavanger hunt.

Let me tell you something, it was hard being the only photographer trying to keep up with two teams. I think I got the most excercise of everybody.

Team Blue Found the prize

Team Green found their prize too

And here is the bubble race.
Team captains showing how it's done

Indoor basketball.

Afternoon at the Zoo!

Forget the animals, now it's playtime.

Introducing Once Upon A Story Book - A New Line of Party Banners

Yup, you saw right! A new series is coming your way!

For several months now I have been wanting to create princess themed banners. And when I say princess you know what I mean, Disney princesses. But Disney's copyright had scared me off. Until a few months ago when I was looking on Pinterest was I finally able to come up with an idea of how I can make the princess banners without there being any relation to the Disney princesses themselves except for the color schemes that might be inspired by them.

What do I mean there won't be any relation to Disney princess? I mean no images of the princesses on the banners, cards, invitations, cupcake toppers, etc. The only thing that you might say was related,  like I said, might be the colors inspired by them, but that is all.

For example I made a fairy banner that was for a Tinkerbell themed party. But I wanted to stay as far away as I could from Tinkerbell, so I used the colors the lady wanted and bought a fairy silhouette clip art set from a fellow etisian. And as you can see, the fairies from the set are not tinkerbell related, they are just childlike fairies.

Here is a closeup of the finished banner

I cannot tell you how excited I am about this series! Not only will it include the new line but I can also slowly incorporate all my banners and other themes I come up with into the Series.

It is my goal to release a new princess theme once or twice a month, hopefully starting this month and will last for the next several months.

And I hope that with this series I will be able to help you give your Little Princess the Story Book party she deserves!

And for all you mamas of little boys, don't worry, I've got you covered. I will be releasing some fun themes for boys as well as for the girls.
