Our Snow pictures

Here in South Carolina we usually don't get to see a whole lot of snow. Maybe a dusting here or an inch there so when we do get a good bit we enjoy it while we can cause who knows when we'll see more than an inch again.
Here are some pictures that my brother, Daniel took. We have struggled in the past to get good snow pictures, but this time I think he got some good ones.

Here's some from a few weeks ago.

And these are from last week. The first day, the snow on the ground kept melting but the trees were gorgeous.

Birthday Cards and Teddy Bear Baby Banner

Sorry I didn't post last week. I had every intention on blogging but I got real busy and then I couldn't find my pictures so I just decided to take a week off.
Here's the two cards that I was going to post last week.

This one was for one of the ladies in our church

Here is the other baby banner I kept promising and the card to match

Owl Themed Baby Banner

Here's one of the banners that I have been working on; it was used as part of the decorations for the baby shower this past weekend. I really love how it turned out.

I also made confetti to match.

I have another baby shower coming up that I am helping with the decorations, so that means another banner and confetti.

I will leave you with two baby cards I made this weekend.

Shop News

I wanted to take a little bit and let you know how my Etsy shop, KraftieKidz,  has been doing since the first of the year. I am happy to report that I have seven sales so far, two sales being my John Deere baby banners that I custom make. I have also been busy listing items; I try to list at least two new items daily (except Sunday)  plus renew expired listings. I'll share some of those new listings at the end of the post.

In other news I have two birthday cards that I have just about finished for two of the kids at church and I will be sharing those soon. (Remember, making birthday cards for the little kids at church was one of my goals for 2014.)  I also have two baby banners to make for two upcoming showers plus die cuts to match. So that will be two different banner and die cut colors and themes to add to the shop.

Can't you tell I'm excited about 2014?

Here are some of the items that are new to KraftieKidz

New Year 2014

I cannot believe that we are already at another new year. It seems like it was just yesterday when I posted in the CAST (Christian Artists Street Team) thread on Etsy my goals for 2013 and now it's time to post my 2014 goals.

2014 Goals for KraftieKidz
- Double what I made in 2013
- Write my about page
- Have about 240 items listed by my birthday (April 21) and 300 or more by the end of the year
- Have a bigger inventory of birthday, mother's day, father's day, christmas, valentine's day, and graduation cards than I did in 2013
- Add wedding, and baby cards
- Add more colors and themes to die cut sets
- Add gift card holders, magnets, clothes pins, and paper clips

Other Goals
- Make and list more jewelry in our other shop
- Learn how to sew simple items
- Make birthday cards for all the little kids in church
- Blog more

I may not get to do everything this year and some goals are even pretty high. But I love challenging myself; it's helps me come up with creative ways to become better.

So what are your goals for 2014. I would love to read them.

I'll leave you with some photos from 2013.

Happy New Year everyone!

A Christmas Project: Blessing Bags for the Homeless

Yesterday we had the privilege of taking our Teens from church to pass out Blessing bags to our homeless. We took them to the Rescue Mission in Downtown Greenville. And boy were the men happy to get them! We didn't even get a chance to walk around, once word spread they came to us.

It was nice to watch the men go through their bags, some even were trading their items for what they wanted. The sad part was when we ran out of bags; once we ran out we had to load up the teens before more came looking for bags.

We plan on doing this again once we raise up money for more supplies. After yesterday we discussed about maybe starting a fund just for this purpose. And maybe next time we will have more bags to pass out.

For now I'll leave you with the one picture I was able to take.

Here the boys and one of our men from church are talking to a homeless man. The blue bag he is holding is a blessing bag.
