Welcome Baby Cards

Hello friends. Tonight I am bringing you three adorable cards featuring Lawn Fawn. And yes, as you can see I am still working on the 30 Day Coloring Challenge. (This summer, has been my busiest.)

For day 17 and 18 I made two baby cards for two babies in our church, one recently made her arrival and the other one is due in a few weeks. And the sweet thing is, I colored them in their colors.

Can you guess what Baby Boy's theme is?

And this next one was a fun one to make. A customer requested this color scheme and I decided to use it on my next card. The owl and flag bunting have been cut with the cricut and then pieced together.

I hope you enjoyed tonight's post and have a blessed Sunday!

Supplies I used:
Cricut machine
Glitter cardstock - Paper Studio
Textured and non-textured cardstock - Paper Studio
Little Bundle Stamp Set - Lawn Fawn
Crayola pencil
Black archival ink

Day 17 - Happy Birthday Mermaid Card

For day 17 I am bringing you a card featuring The Greeting Farm's Mermaid Anya cling stamp.

To create the the 3d affect and still use the twine behind the image I cut out the stamped image that I colored beforehand, and glued the twine on the back of the image. I then placed 3d foam tape on the back.

I used pearl accents to represent bubbles and to give the card a little pizzazz; cause, you know, who doesn't like some extra bling.

Supplies I Used: *Paper Studio and La Petite products are found at Hobby Lobby
red textured cardstock
navy and white stripe paper - Paper Studio
Mermaid Anya cling stamp - The Greeting Farm
sentiment - Simon Says Stamp
markers - crayola
pearl accents - La Petite

Day 16 - Poinsettia Christmas Card

Hello everyone. I apologize for going MIA for a little while but I had Etsy orders to fill. And though the coloring challenge is over I am still continuing (by the way I still have orders coming in but right now I have some extra time to post.)

For today's post I made a Christmas card.

I stamped the poinsettia three times and then cut out each piece. I then colored and stacked the pieces.

I used a gold metallic sharpie marker for both the pine needles and the little balls in the middle.

I have no earthly idea what brand of stamp this is, but I absolutely love it.

Supplies I used:
red textured cardstock
gold and green scrapbook paper - Christmas Traditions paper pad (Paper Studio)
Poinsettia rubber stamp
Sentiment clear stamp
black pen
colored pencil - Crayola
gold metallic marker - Sharpie

Day 9 - Coloring Book Card

Today is day 9 of Kathy Racoosin's 30 day coloring challenge. And for today I am sharing another coloring book card that I colored during days 6-8 and finished today.

Day 6 landed on Sunday and I don't always have a lot of time to color or create anything. Excuse the mess at the bottom of the page, I was trying out some different colors.

For Day 7, just like Day 6, I didn't have a lot of time to color. But this time the problem happened to be orders, which is a good problem to have mind you.

I added some yellow to the mix for Day 8. I hated that the process was going slow but love how it all unfolded.

And for Day 9 I finally finished the card. It kind of reminds me of a stained glass window. What do you think?

I hope you enjoyed today's card. Come back tomorrow for another fun card. And just a reminder, you can follow my coloring journey on Instagram. jessica.marie.backer

Supplies I used:
cardstock - red, teal, black, and yellow
coloring book page - Coloroma, Color Me Happy!
markers - Crayola
sentiment - LJD For the Boys clear stamp set (My Favorite Things)

Day 5 - Birthday Wishes Card

Today I'm sharing a clean and simple card for Day 5.

Again I used my cheap markers for the butterfly. I'm starting to get real comfortable using them even if they don't blend as well as the more favored brands.

I used washi tape along the side, but of course a strip of paper could be used.

I hope you enjoyed today's card. Come back next week for some more fun projects. Remember, I may not always blog everyday but I will blog at once a week and will highlight the days I missed. And if you are on Instagram, you can also follow my coloring adventure here Jessica.Marie.Backer

Supplies I Used: *Paper Studio
white cardstock
dandelion and sentiment clear stamp  - Dandelion stamp set (Technique Tuesday)
butterfly clear stamp - Take Flight stamp set (Technique Tuesday)
pink polka dot washi tape - Paper Studio
markers - Crayola

Day 4 - Coloring Book Card

It is now Day 4 of  the 30 day coloring challenge and I am sharing a card that I made from a coloring book page that I was working on days 2 and 3 and just finished today.

I brought out my markers for this. Unfortunately all I have are crayola markers; I do plan on getting a better set, just haven't been able to yet.

After I finished the page, I trimmed it up and glued it to a turquoise sheet of cardstock.

I then cut the sentiment "Aloha" out of gold glitter cardstock with the Cricut machine and attached it to a frosted sheet of vellum. I then placed a bit of eye candy embelishment in the corners of the vellum paper.

I absolutely love this card turned out, it's so bright and cheery and was a lot of fun coloring!

Well, I hope you enjoyed today's card. Here's a little sneak peek of tomorrows card.

Turquoise textured cardstock
Tropical coloring page - True Colors adult coloring book (Penny Press)

Day 1 of 30 Day Coloring Challenge - You've Got A Friend In Me

Hi all. I have decided to participate in Kathy Racoosin's 30 Day Coloring Challenge even though all I have are cheap colored pencils. For more info just visit Kathy's blog here,

I probably won't get to blog every day but you can see all of my projects over on my instagram @kraftiekidz

For to day I decided to color an image for a birthday card for a special little boy in our church.

And here it is on the card

This image was a bit of a challenge. It has a lot of small detail and to be honest I'm not crazy about teeny tiny detailing, but I think this came out really good.
