And here is what you have been waiting for: the birthday banner! I must apologize for the pictures though, they didn't turn out as sharp as I would have liked.

Keep an I out for these in the shop, I plan on listing them the first of next week if not before. And Lord willing I am planning on releasing  a new set in two weeks. And I absolutely can't wait to get started working on it! Both the boys and the girls will love the next set! I may even post some sneak peeks on Instagram so be sure to follow me @KraftieKidz !

Introducing Once Upon A Story Book - A New Line of Party Banners

Yup, you saw right! A new series is coming your way!

For several months now I have been wanting to create princess themed banners. And when I say princess you know what I mean, Disney princesses. But Disney's copyright had scared me off. Until a few months ago when I was looking on Pinterest was I finally able to come up with an idea of how I can make the princess banners without there being any relation to the Disney princesses themselves except for the color schemes that might be inspired by them.

What do I mean there won't be any relation to Disney princess? I mean no images of the princesses on the banners, cards, invitations, cupcake toppers, etc. The only thing that you might say was related,  like I said, might be the colors inspired by them, but that is all.

For example I made a fairy banner that was for a Tinkerbell themed party. But I wanted to stay as far away as I could from Tinkerbell, so I used the colors the lady wanted and bought a fairy silhouette clip art set from a fellow etisian. And as you can see, the fairies from the set are not tinkerbell related, they are just childlike fairies.

I cannot tell you how excited I am about this series! Not only will it include the new line but I can also slowly incorporate all my banners and other themes I come up with into the Series.

It is my goal to release a new princess theme once or twice a month, hopefully starting this month and will last for the next several months. 

And I hope that with this series I will be able to help you give your Little Princess the Story Book party she deserves!

And for all you mamas of little boys, don't worry, I've got you covered. I will be releasing some fun themes for boys as well as for the girls.

Our Little Angel - Baby Sympathy Card

Today's post is bittersweet and the card that I am sharing with you was made with tears.

Last Wednesday a sweet lady in our church miscarried her baby. And through the loss a little angel was born into Heaven.

This type of card has been difficult for me to make. Not only is it a sad, painful card, but it has been difficult for me to capture and convey the sadness and the sweetness and the peacefulness of it. Sad because of the loss. Sweet and peaceful because of the fact that the family will see the child in Heaven.

For to day I decided to color an image for a birthday card for a special little boy in our church.

This image was a bit of a challenge. It has a lot of small detail and to be honest I'm not crazy about teeny tiny detailing, but I think this came out really good.

A Piece of Paradise

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing some fun projects that I created for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - A Piece of Paradise

When I first saw what this weeks challenge was my first thought was Tropical, Beach, WARMTH; Somewhere where there wasn't any SNOW or ICE. Don't get me wrong I like snow. Snow is beautiful, it's fun to play in, you can get some awesome pictures, but right now I'm wanting some warm weather.

So with all that said here are my cards. All three of these are new layouts for me and I think they came out pretty awesome. I still think there is room for improvement, but hey, I gotta start somewhere.

This first card I made kind of like the layout example that I got it from. But after awhile I felt like it was lacking. Then I thought why don't I add some little dots around the word. 

Here's what it looked like before the dots.

And here's the finished product.

Like I said; there's still room for improvement but I think it's pretty good for the first time using this layout.

This second one in my opinion is a step up from the first. 

Again a new layout and still a bit simple.

And finally the one that I think is the best.

The squares measure an inch and I placed them around the edge of the card for a quilting affect with the flamingo sticker being the focal point.

I sincerely hope you enjoyed my little pieces of paradise. And I hope they brought some warmth (even if just briefly) to 

those of you who have lots of snow and ice outside.

Snow Owl Birthday Card and Matching I Am One Banner

Hi, It's been awhile since I have posted a project, but I wanted to share with you this card and banner I made for a little girl in our church who was turning one.

To make this card I cut the base out of textured turquoise cardstock. I cut the white cardstock 1/2" shorter than base and punched out a scalloped circle to create a window and glued the white to the base.

I stamped the owl with black archival ink, colored with a crayola pencil, fussy cut, and mounted it with 3d foam tape. I then placed it in the circle.

I stamped 'Happy Birthday' on the white cardstock in the black archival ink and then I hand punched the 5/8" snowflakes out of pink textured cardstock from my scrap stash and scattered them on the card. I glued the snowflakes with a glue pen because they're so small.

And here is the matching banner.
